Lyndon Alec, a member of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe, has been performing the Indian Hoop Dance since he was 12 years old and has traveled throughout the United States, giving performances in many states including Alabama, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Washington, D.C., and Madison Square Garden in New York.
He has also served as the Head Man Dancer at various Pow-wows and performs annually at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and other festivals around the country.
Lyndon had the opportunity to travel with the Alabama-Coushatta Tribal Dancers to South Australia for three weeks and performed at the amazing Royal Adelaide Show.
In July 1994, Lyndon traveled with the Alabama-CoushattaTribal Dancers to St. Petersburg, Russia to perform at the Opening Ceremony of the Goodwill Games.
In March 1995, he had the privilege to travel to Nice, France to perform at their annual Carnival, and in June 1996, he formed in Korea.
In 2006, he was invited to perform for the annual Jazz Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is one of the largest events in the United States.
In November 2008, he traveled to Wasilla, Aaska, where he performed for various schools. He continues to perform annually at the Native American Festival in Moundville, Alabama as well as the Choctaw Fair in Philadelphia, Mississippi, the Oka Kappasa Festival in Tuscumbia, Alabama, Chickasaw Day in Tishimingo, Oklahoma, the Florida Festival in Tallahassee, Florida, and the Madison County Education Festival in Huntsville, Alabama.
